As a caregiver for a medical cannabis patient in Iowa, you can apply for registration through our efficient online process. To qualify, you must be listed on the Healthcare Practitioner Certification Form, signed by the patient’s primary doctor, and have a valid form of ID such as a driver’s license from Iowa or a neighboring state. The cost of registration is $25 and is payable to the Iowa Department of Public Health. Once approved, caregivers will need to visit an Iowa Department of Transportation facility to register their medicinal cannabis oil card.
