The University of London has approved her written thesis on leishmaniasis, one of the most common parasitic illnesses found in the subcontinent.
Her research and observations on this tropical disease inspired her to write a second thesis on an unique method of treating cutaneous leishmaniasis with a CO2 ablative laser and contrasting it with intra-lesional antimonials, which is currently the standard treatment.
