The 2021 Champlain Towers Condo collapse causing 98 unfortunate deaths, was the impetus for Florida Bill SB 4D, requiring Florida Condominium and Cooperative Association buildings, three stories and taller, to have the Primary Structural Systems of their buildings evaluated by a Professional Engineer (PE) or Architect upon the building's 30th year (25th year if located within 3 miles of Coastline) and every ten years thereafter.
