Tiled Conservatory Roof:
The ideal living space for someone who wants less glass than a conservatory but more than a traditional extension is the sunroom.
The sunroom has a tiled roof but still has plenty of glass in the sides to let in lots of light, making it a bright but cosy alternative to a conservatory or extension. The solid tiled roof improves the thermal performance of the building meaning you can stay warm and cosy in the winter and cool and comfortable in the summer. It is a great room you can use all year round.
Thermotech can match the roof tiles and brickwork of your house so the sunroom blends seamlessly with the original building. The internal plastered ceiling can be vaulted or flat and include spotlights to give it that “wow” factor. Roof windows can also be incorporated into the sunroom if you do require some natural light to enter the room.
Conservatory Roof Replacement
If you don’t want to install a completely new extension or sunroom, and already have an old conservatory but it’s too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer, a roof replacement is just what you need to bring it back to life. Many old conservatories used polycarbonate material or old technology glass in the roof which meant it was not suitable for you to use in all weather conditions.
Thermotech offers a number of solutions that will bring a new lease of life into your old conservatory, enabling you to use it when you want and not when the weather dictates.
Lightweight Tiled Roof
Thermotech’s lightweight tiled roof solution can be built straight off the window frames of your existing conservatory. This tiled and highly insulated solid roof will keep your room cosy and warm in the winter yet cool and comfortable in the summer.
The system is quick and easy to install so it means your old roof can be replaced with minimal disruption to you. The roof will significantly improve the thermal performance of your old conservatory, meaning it will reduce your heating bills as well.
The roof can be tiled in a number of colours that can match the colour of your existing house so it really does look like a part of the original building.
The roof has a vaulted internal ceiling that can be plastered and include spotlights if you so wish. Roof windows can also be incorporated should you require some natural light to enter the room.
