Dr. Silverman graduated with honors from the Columbia Institute of Chiropractic in 1975 and was one of the youngest specialists in the profession. He also became the first chiropractor for an HMO in the United States, opening the doors for other chiropractors.
Dr. Silverman was responsible for creating the first chiropractic preferred provider organization (PPO) in the country. He was also named the first chiropractor for Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Quality Assurance Program.
