Our facility, Lakes Area Building Center, was first built in 1981. Additional buildings were incorporated in 1982 & 1984, making it a full lumber yard. From the beginning, lumber and building materials have been our major business. Most of our products are stored indoors, out of the elements, to keep premium materials in prime condition. Treated posts and landscape supplies are stored outdoors.
Ownership may have changed, and obviously products have changed over the years, but quality and service has always been our number one priority. New products that we offer are introduced for the home and building trades every month.
With these new products comes new applications and installation methods. The staff at Lakes Area Building Center takes advantage of product training whenever available so we are always up to date. This training and information is available to contractors and homeowners at any time.
We represent name brand products, such as: Marvin, Certainteed, Owens Corning, Timbertech, and James Hardie, as well as premium wood products. Nevertheless, we don’t forget to carry some of the classic products of yesteryear to help to restore or modify Grandma and Grandpa’s cabin.
