Gingivitis- Gingivitis is a non-destructive type of periodontal disease, but untreated gingivitis can result in periodontitis. This is a more serious and severe condition and can eventually lead to loss of teeth. Symptoms of gingivitis are much visible to the eye and they  include red and puffy gums that bleed easily when the person brushes their teeth. Gingivitis is curable, if proper oral hygiene like brushing, flossing, and rinsing is followed with an antiseptic mouthwash.  In some cases of untreated gingivitis, patients may not even know the severity of it, because symptoms are mild. However, the condition should be taken seriously and addressed immediately to the dentist.
