The Sussex Beard OIL Brand
Sussex Beard Oil was founded in 2013 when Matt White decided to improve the look and feel of his facial hair. After extensive research and testing, he created a blend of oils that left his beard feeling healthy and looking great. He couldn’t keep it to himself and started sharing his creation with the world, starting in Sussex, New Brunswick.
Since then, we’ve added many other grooming products to our collection with the goal of providing our customers with a top-notch grooming experience. Our products are all developed and manufactured in-house and undergo rigorous testing by us, barbers, and individual testers. Each one is used by the people behind the brand every day.
Our products are handcrafted in our Sussex, New Brunswick shop, starting with the best ingredients and ending with hand bottling. In 2015, we appeared on CBC’s Dragon’s Den and struck a deal, but ultimately took no investment. This helped bring us national and international exposure.
We cater to a diverse group of men from all backgrounds and occupations, including farmhands, executives, and everyone in between. We also offer a shaving soap for those who can’t grow out their whiskers for professional reasons. Our customers include firefighters, police officers, soldiers, and oilfield workers.
In 2021, the business changed ownership, setting the stage for growth and expansion both in North America and globally. Matt continues to work with us as our brand ambassador.
