Terry Marshall Campie owned two (2) companies that attracted the attention of two (2) New York Stock Exchange Companies. In one case Mr. Campie sold his company to the Loewen Group which at the time traded initially on the NASDQ and later, at the time of acquisition on the NYSE. Ecolab, the world’s largest detergent manufacturer and seller also approached Mr. Campie to acquire his detergent business. But after a generous offer by Ecolab Mr. Campie declined because the terms would have meant all his employees would have lost their jobs.
