A user can perform the setup process of a Dlink extender through three types - one is using the web interface, the second is through the Tether app and the third one is through the WPS connection process. With the help of a WPS (Wi-fi Protected Setup) connection, a user can connect to the dlinkap.local network by typing in the Wireless credentials in the respective fields.
