New Zealand is home to some of the most spectacular ski fields in the world. With a staggering number of mountains, glaciers and snow-capped peaks, there are plenty of options for skiers and snowboarders alike.
New Zealand’s South Island has more ski areas, while the North Island has around some great offerings too. Both islands offer a wide range of terrain, from gentle beginner slopes to extreme backcountry skiing.
New Zealand’s ski season runs from June through October and can be affected by weather conditions – keep this in mind if you plan on travelling during this time.
